Prologue
Let me take Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as an example. Everyone knows her story, and her seven helpful companions—each named after a trait of human behavior—reflections of what she gained once being banished by the Evil Queen. The tale is, in many ways, a symbolic retelling of the event that birthed the human mind millennia ago.
As the Mother of All was given the forbidden apple, which she ate out of curiosity, so too are we now offered the proverbial fruit that promises greater knowledge—only this time, through the medium of artificial intelligence. From Her was taken innocence, and in that loss, Freedom and Expression were allowed to grow and fill the vacant space. But for Us, we shall lose Freedom, and the act of Expression will die a quick death soon after. Conformity will be the only thing allowed to fill their absence, clothing us in darkness. The Story likes to repeat, so as to allow the audience a level of foresight in the future. We now, here in the 21st century, are at this second reprisal of the role by the Devil. We are witnessing the story of the fall repeating, as Redemption was given a second reprisal of the role, so two for the role of the Evil One.
The Seven Dwarfs will die a proverbial death within us—Snow White, whom they protect, represents the last light of individuality inside each person. The Evil Queen is the creation of our own hand: AI. The people of the Kingdom are the Greater Collective.
Remember, children—it is we, the people of the Kingdom, who allowed the Evil Queen to rise to power. She was given power freely from our own hand. And so too, we now take freely from hers the apple she boasts contains knowledge and power, and yet it only contains death.
